What Aned Book and this website collect, what they do not, and what happens to it.
The short version
The software runs on your own computer and your books stay there. Two things leave it: a PDF of a single bill when you share that bill on WhatsApp, so your customer can open it from a link; and a locked (encrypted) backup if you turn one on, which goes to your own e-mail or your own Google Drive, never to us. This website collects the details you type into the download form, and counts page views without cookies. That is the whole of it.
Your business data stays on your computer
Aned Book is offline software. Your invoices, items, customers, suppliers, stock and accounts are stored on the machine you install it on, encrypted on disk. They are not uploaded to us, and we have no way to read them. There is no account to create and no server holding your books.
Backups are written to your own computer, and to a second folder if you choose one.
Bills you share on WhatsApp
The WhatsApp message itself goes from your own WhatsApp to your own customer and does not pass through us. To put a link to the bill as a PDF in that message, Aned Book uploads a PDF of that one bill (or that one statement) through our server to cloud storage at Backblaze. The PDF shows what the printed bill shows, including your customer's name and what they bought, so you are sharing it with us for this purpose when you send the bill.
- The link opens only that one bill, and works for 7 days.
- The PDF is deleted after 30 days.
- We record, for each upload, your licence number, a code for the computer, the file size and the time — to stop misuse and to switch off a licence that abuses it. We do not open, read or use the bills themselves.
When you message us on WhatsApp
Our WhatsApp number +91 90564 00630 is answered by our own system first, through Meta's WhatsApp Business service. When you write to it we keep your number, the name you set in WhatsApp, the messages in both directions and whether they were delivered — to answer you and to let our staff continue the conversation. If your number is on an Aned Book licence, the reply can use that licence's edition and support date.
- Nothing from your books is ever read or sent: only what you type to us and our replies.
- A question our system cannot answer from its own menu may be answered by an AI service (Anthropic or Google, through our own server), using only our own price list and help pages. Our staff may also have it draft a reply, which a person reads before sending. Phone numbers are removed before your message goes to it, and you can reach a person any time with "Talk to us".
- Reply STOP and we never send you offers or bulk messages again; your own questions are still answered.
- Ask us, on WhatsApp or by e-mail, and we delete your conversation.
Backups you choose to send off this computer
Both of these are off until you turn them on, and both use your own account. The backup file is encrypted before it leaves your computer, so the mail company or Google holds a file it cannot read. Nothing passes through ANEDYA TECHNOLOGY LLP's servers.
E-mail backup. If you enter your own e-mail account's details, Aned Book sends a backup to the address you choose. Your mail password (for Gmail, an "app password") is kept encrypted on your computer for your Windows user, and is never sent to us.
Google Drive backup. If you press Connect Google Drive, Google's own page opens in your browser and asks you to allow it. You type your Google password into Google, never into Aned Book. With your permission, Aned Book:
- Accesses only the files it creates in your Google Drive (Google's
drive.filepermission). It cannot see, open, change or delete anything else in your Drive — your photos, documents and other files are out of its reach. - Reads your Google account's e-mail address, only to show you which account is connected.
- Creates a folder called "Aned Book Backups", uploads one encrypted backup a day into it, and reads back each file's size, checksum and link to confirm the upload and show it to you. If you have also set up the e-mail backup, it e-mails you that link.
- Reads how full your Google Drive is, only to warn you before it fills up.
- Moves old Aned Book backups to your Google Drive bin only when you choose to. It never deletes anything on its own.
The permission Google gives Aned Book is stored encrypted on your computer for your Windows user and is never sent to us. We do not receive, store, read or share any data from your Google account. You can withdraw access at any time with Disconnect in Aned Book, or in your Google Account under Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services; the backups already in your Drive stay there, yours to keep or delete.
Aned Book's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information from Google is used only to provide the backup described above. It is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train any AI model, not transferred to anyone, and not read by any person.
What this website collects
The download form. Your name, mobile number, shop name (optional) and e-mail address, because you typed them in to get the download link. They are used to send you that link, to send a welcome e-mail, and so we can help you if you contact us. They are stored on our hosting in India and are not sold, rented or shared with advertisers.
Page views. We count which pages are read, using our own counter on our own hosting. It records the page path, the website you arrived from (its name only, such as "google.com", never the full address), the language of the page and whether the screen is phone-sized. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier and stores no IP address, so it cannot follow you and cannot recognise you on a second visit. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on this site.
Your web host's own logs. Like every website, the server records requests. That is our hosting provider's standard logging, not something we add to.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your details.
- We do not run advertising trackers.
- We do not read your business data, and we do not upload or back it up to any server of ours. The backups above go to your own accounts.
- We do not require an account, a login or a subscription to keep your software working.
Third parties we do use
Our website and e-mail are hosted by Hostinger. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google. Nothing else is loaded from anybody else.
Messages to our WhatsApp number pass through Meta (WhatsApp Business), as every WhatsApp message does, and are kept on our own server in India. When our system answers with the AI, or our staff ask it for a drafted reply, the conversation goes to Anthropic or Google to write it.
Inside the software: Backblaze stores the bill PDFs you share on WhatsApp (above); your own mail provider and Google Drive are used only if you switch those backups on, reached directly from your computer with your account. The software also checks our website for updates by downloading a public file; that check sends nothing about you or your business.
How long we keep it
Download-form details are kept while they are useful for supporting you, and are removed on request. WhatsApp conversations are kept the same way. Shared bill PDFs are deleted after 30 days. Page-view counts hold no personal data at all.
Your rights
Write to us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Deleting your details does not affect software you have already installed — it keeps working, because it never needed us.
