What Aned Book and this website collect, what they do not, and what happens to it.
The software runs on your own computer and your business data never leaves it. This website collects the details you type into the download form, and counts page views without cookies. That is the whole of it.
Aned Book is offline software. Your invoices, items, customers, suppliers, stock and accounts are stored on the machine you install it on, encrypted on disk. They are not uploaded to us, and we have no way to read them. There is no account to create and no server holding your books.
Backups are written to your own computer, and to a second folder if you choose one. Where you send a bill on WhatsApp, that message goes from your own WhatsApp to your own customer; it does not pass through us.
The download form. Your name, mobile number, shop name (optional) and e-mail address, because you typed them in to get the download link. They are used to send you that link, to send a welcome e-mail, and so we can help you if you contact us. They are stored on our hosting in India and are not sold, rented or shared with advertisers.
Page views. We count which pages are read, using our own counter on our own hosting. It records the page path, the website you arrived from (its name only, such as "google.com", never the full address), the language of the page and whether the screen is phone-sized. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier and stores no IP address, so it cannot follow you and cannot recognise you on a second visit. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on this site.
Your web host's own logs. Like every website, the server records requests. That is our hosting provider's standard logging, not something we add to.
Our website and e-mail are hosted by Hostinger. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google. Nothing else is loaded from anybody else.
Download-form details are kept while they are useful for supporting you, and are removed on request. Page-view counts hold no personal data at all.
Write to us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Deleting your details does not affect software you have already installed — it keeps working, because it never needed us.
