The trial is the whole software

14 days from the day you install it, and during them every feature works. Not a cut-down version, no watermark on the bill, no cap on how many invoices you may raise. Put your own items, your own customers and your own bills through it on your own counter.

When it ends, nothing is deleted. The software stops taking new entries until a licence is entered, and everything you already put in stays readable, printable and exportable — so a fortnight of work is still yours even if you decide against buying.

If you have not finished evaluating, tell us before the fortnight is out. We would far rather extend a trial than take money from somebody who is not sure.

Still on Windows 7 or 8?

There is a separate edition for Windows 7 SP1, 8 and 8.1, 64-bit. It is the same software — the same billing, the same stock, the same printing — built to run on an older Windows.

Two things that are true of this edition and not of the ordinary one, said plainly because you are entitled to know before you install it:

• Everything it needs is inside this one download — including the Microsoft browser component (WebView2 109) and the Windows 7 update it depends on. No internet is needed to install, and nothing else has to be downloaded first.
• It needs Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, 64-bit. A Windows 7 without SP1 cannot run it; Windows Update or your dealer can add SP1.
• The browser part inside it no longer receives security fixes from Microsoft, who ended support for Windows 7 in January 2023. Your books are on your own machine and nothing goes to the internet, but it is a real difference.

If the computer is due for replacement anyway, the ordinary edition on Windows 10 or 11 is the better place to be. We would rather say that than sell you the older one quietly.

The phone app for Android — early access

Aned Book on the phone is for shops on Silver (2 phones) or Gold (5 phones), and the 14-day trial includes 2. It bills, takes payments, orders and quotations and shares them on WhatsApp — in the shop or out on the round — and everything reaches your main counter over your shop's own Wi-Fi. Nothing goes to the internet.

New in phone version 1.29.1

• A supplier's bill read for the owner's phone now counts as bill pages, not an AI Munim question - counted when the counter files it (needs the counter on 1.45.1).
• A slow bill read is no longer cut off after 30 seconds.

1. Open the file on the phone. Android asks whether to allow installing from your browser — allow it once.
2. Open Aned Book and choose Connect to the shop counter. Type the address and the pairing code shown on the main counter under Settings → Extra counters.
3. Pick the company. The phone takes your items and customers and is ready to bill.

Getting it

Whichever way you take it, it is the same file, and the site always serves the newest build from the same address — so a link somebody sent you last month still gives you today's version. What we do with details you choose to leave is on the privacy page: send you the link, and help you if you ask.

Windows may warn you on first run

We would rather tell you now than have you wonder. Windows SmartScreen shows an "unknown publisher" notice for software it has not seen many times before. That is about code signing, not about what is in the file. Choose More info then Run anyway. If your antivirus quarantines it, tell us and we will sort it out.

Is the trial really free?

Does Aned Book work on a Mac?

No. It is Windows, 64-bit — Windows 10 or 11, and there is a separate edition for Windows 7 SP1, 8 and 8.1.

What happens to my data when the trial ends?

Do I need internet to use it?

Why does Windows say "unknown publisher"?
